starting to transfer my archived blog postings…

Apologies for not posting today, not really, because this is a post… Ok I suppose I actually mean that I feel badly about not sitting down at my desk with my mug of coffee, staring sleepy eyed out of my window, or back over at my partially made bed (Mmmm-I-love-my-bed), then grabbing hold of some thought innocently hanging out, chillin’, not aware in the slightest that it is about to be exploited, expanded, extracted… typed into my blog.
There *is* something good in the air today and I feel a little like I’m missing by sitting here in the living room starting to transer my archived blog postings onto a different blog site. It’s boring but has to be done.
Just occurred to me why it’s so important not to start from scratch, not to lose two years of posts… because I’m a collector of moments. Little pieces of life. Mine clearly, as I have the most access to it. Similar to taking random photos I think.

I used to tell people that when I’m 90 I’ll enjoy having all of these little slices of life. Even the ugly pictures I will think are beautiful and I will smile and laugh and probably tell some half remembered story. My mother advised to make sure photos are dated and names of people, places, written on them. This is very very good advice. I’ve tried to do that. It’s a little easier now that everything is digital.

Anyway… I’m busy copying and pasting this morning.
No… I have no intentions of leaving MySpace. My vanity adores MySpace and other social sites and blog sites don’t cut it.
My MySpace page is like the ultimate ‘About Me’ so even if I blog elsewhere (I’ll copy it here still too) I’ll link back to it. Because seriously… if you want a clue, pay attention, peruse, and you’ll have more than several. It’s certainly more revealing (and truthful) than a carefully written paragraph trying give a hint about the kind of person you are in some section of a blog page.

Have to run for now… until tomorrow
